Return to Sender was a series of contemporary Fluxus events and projects encompassing mail art, live art and film and an exhibition of Fluxus art including artists Robin Klassnik and Alison Knowles. A rubber stamp was designed and made to be used as a linking device throughout the publicity for individual aspects.
The Postal Room was a collaborative mail art project. The invitation to participate utilised clip art motifs to illustrate the process, in keeping with the Fluxus spirit of play and working with whatever materials are at hand.
The Return to Sender exhibition invite followed the standard exhibition invite in use at the time (Flyer/envelope invites) but with the addition of more panels. It was printed full colour on one side and black on reverse with a gloss laminate on the colour (outside) to enhance the contrast.
