Guidebook for a Festival of Visual Arts, Locator, in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and Gateshead, UK. 18 arts organisations were involved in the festival so an identity that linked them all and favoured none was required.
The graphic green shape was devised by creating a dot to dot of the organisations on a map. The origins of this image were exposed in the centre pages of the guide as the image was printed on to tracing paper and overlayed on the map.
